My Beauty: Clarins

I celebrated the first day of Autumn by indulging in the Clarins GWP at Boots. I bought Clarins Renew Plus Body Serum, Clarins Relax Bath & Shower Concentrate and a Joli Rouge Lipstick in Tea Rose.

I love the body serum it smells divine and is one of the few body lotions that allows me to get dressed immediately without struggling to get jeans etc on. I definitely need to relax more and therefore opted for the Relax Shower & Bath concentrate. It’s dual purpose and gives wonderful abundant bubbles. I’m looking forward to using that this weekend ( TFIF). Infact I find Clarins body formulations hard to beat. Lastly is the new formulation Joli Rouge Lipstick in Tea Rose a lovely pinky beige colour. This is highly scented and smells delicious and gives a lovely shine to lips. I’m wearing it today to work and it feels very comfortable and wearable.

Now on to the gift. From a larger selection I chose the ubiquitous Beauty Flash Balm, the Hand and Nail cream, the dinky blusher in peach and the dinky Joli Rouge in soft berry. I love this size of the Hand and Nail cream as it can stay in my bag and be used at work and the Beauty Flash Balm is great for travel as a primer. I then also got 100ml of the incredible Moisture Rich Body Lotion and 100ml of the Tonic Bath and Shower which is a lovely aromatic fragrance. Again both great sizes for travel. All in a lovely navy and cream spotty bag (which I’m happy about as a rarely like the bags).

Since its Boots I got my points and I had a 10% voucher. Happy days! I usually buy and combine into presents but I think this one will be staying firmly in my bathroom.

I also bought the Debenhams Estée Lauder GWP at the weekend (and Mum indulged too) I’ve said it before and say it again I’m a beauty marketers dream. Will do a post on that separately.

My Style: Jigsaw

  1. Navy and Grey Patchwork coat
  2. Printed Smocked Shirt
  3. Grey and Navy reversible wrap coat
  4. Black jeans
  5. Grey cardigan
  6. Black lace dress
  7. Studded flats

I popped into Jigsaw at lunchtime. I used to buy loads from here but not so much in recent years. However quite a few bits caught my eye in there today from the new AW15/16 collection. I spied two more coats to add to my growing coat list and I’ve still not bought one. I really like this patchwork one for a casual look. I’d say it’s more transitional autumn coat than a winter coat but just up my street nonetheless.

Also get 10% off with this code tomorrow only AUTUMN10.

My Style: HM

Following on from my HM kids post I have found a few gems in HM for ladies. I have ordered this cashmere jumper in Grey using a 25% discount code valid for one item which you can get by texting 85020 with your email address.

Below are a few other items that caught my eye.

I like the heel on the boots as they aren’t too high. I’d love to try this on to see how they fit, they remind me of a pair I ordered and sent back a few years ago from Duo which I constantly regret. I also like these leather trousers which are flat fronted with a side zip. However they are twice the price of the M&S Autograph ones I ordered and sent back which I shall be reordering this year.

My Style: H&M Kids

I’ve spied quite a few lovely items from H&M whilst looking for M this morning. Have a look at this lovely lot. The only issue is sizing so I’m going to check them out in store this morning. H&M have size 4-6 and 6-8 and I’m not sure how small the 4-6 would be on M hence the need to see them in the flesh.

My Style: Friday Night Wanderlust

LK Bennett is going to bankrupt me this season I popped in at lunchtime and saw this beauty in the flesh.

I am thinking about Christmas Events and possibly even a wedding next year. I just need a discount now as my LK Bennett wish list is growing by the day.

The neckline would be super flattering for the larger busted ladies amongst us and it is the gorgeous midi length although it says full length it’s not floor length and for me at 5’10 I think it would be midi. I love it. I want it. I need it.

The LK Bennett Juana Wrap Dress is divine and is £365. Gulp.

My Style: Gap Kids

Gap have some great kids bits in at the moment. M is 4 1/2 but very tall for her age so we usually have to go for the older girls range in GAP which can be a bit grown up but this season I have found some lovely age appropriate bits. And with 35% off online with discount code LUCKYGAP. What’s not to like!

  1. Pink Quilted Jacket
  2. Pink Bear Beanie
  3. Pink Mittens
  4. Black Velvet kitten slip on’s
  5. Sequin stripe top

My Style: LK Bennett

LK Bennett is surprisingly really strong at the moment. I’ve seen a lot I like for both work and casual where usually I might see one or two work items at most.

The beige coat is top of my list for work and I love the patent slip on’s – perfect for the commute. I also love the blanket coat which is very on-trend.

The spot dress is stunning in the flesh in a beautiful Jaquard material and has a lovely peplum hemline. I’m considering it for a wedding next year.

Here are a few of my likes – there are many more and I’m hoping for a discount voucher!

  1. Beige Lunal Coat
  2. Patent Shoes
  3. Black Trousers
  4. Blanket Stripe Coat
  5. Black and White Jaquard Dress
  6. Black Tweed Jacket
  7. Red Bucket Bag

My Beauty: September Staples

Here are my favourites in September (so far!).

I recently purchased Lightwonder by Charlotte Tilbury in Pale 2. I really like the colour on my pale skin and how it’s possible to build up the right coverage for me. My skin is left looking very luminous after using this. I love the design of the bottle the dispenser means never wasting any product and no leakage.

Clinique Cheek Contouring Pallete in Defining Nudes is used every day. I love the fact that when I’m in a rush I can swirl the brush round and get a gorgeous colour and when I have more time I can be a little more contoured. Highly recommended.

Clinique Lip Pop in Bare Nude is a gorgeous pinky nude colour that is very easy to wear and apply straight from the tube – I can do it on the train with no mirror.

Charlotte Tilbury Colour Cameleon in Golden Quartz is the day time pencil for Hazel eyes. I do need to blend this but it results in a lovely colour with a hint of shimmer. It’s intended for Hazel eyes and it does accentuate mine. The only issue is its now blunt (very quickly) and I think it only sharpens with the CT sharpener albeit I haven’t yet tried another but will do.

Lancôme Grandiose is one of my favourite Lancôme mascaras along with Definicils I think this is a bit more dramatic. Love the depth of colour in this and it lasts all day.

Estée Lauder Blackened Cocoa Eye Pencil is not as harsh as black. I use this every day when I want a softer eye. Very easy to use and lasts.

I love Lanolips Lemonaid it smells good enough to eat (or drink) and does the job.

My Beauty: Body Moisturisers

I would love to have them time to apply body moisturiser daily and let it sink in before dressing but during the week this is close to impossible. The nearest I found to making this work is Clarins Renew Plus Body Serum which also smells divine.
To compensate for the lack of use during the week I like to use a heavy duty moisturiser at the weekend and these are my favourites.

The one common theme is the heavenly smell of each of these. And they all have textures that I like – the perfect density let’s say, I’m not sure how to describe it but the Bliss body butter is the perfect consistency for me and if it wasn’t perfect enough I got a supersize bargain in TK Maxx at 25% of the original cost.

  1. Dermalogica Body Hydrating Cream
  2. Bliss Lemon and Sage Body Butter
  3. Kiehls Creme de Corps
  4. The Body Shop Cocoa Butter
  5. L’occitane Milk Concentrate
  6. Perlier White Almond Body Lotion

I am dissapointed that M&S no longer stock the Perlier White Almond range this was a reasonably priced gorgeous body lotion that is now quite difficult to come by. The Bliss and Dermalogica are quite fresh lemony fragrances so I tend to use them in the Summer months and use the almond/nut ones in winter.
